Welcome to the most exciting week of School! This week we will be celebrating an integral party of the French-Canadian culture in Canada: the Carnaval d'hiver! Agnes Davidson will be celebrating this wonderful festival this week!
Please refer to the information below to learn about all the exciting and engaging activities going on in the school.
To celebrate in our classroom, we will be making miniature Bonhomme de Carnavals, creating masks for the Masquerade, Snowshoeing, having tire on the snow, having the pancake breakfast, and discussing writing about different winter sports and activities we enjoy!
We will also be celebrating Valentines Day. We will be creating our Valentines mailboxes in the morning of Valentines Day and will be having our Valentines party in the afternoon.
Thank you to the following families for contributing to our valentines party:
Fruit plate - Logan
Veggie plate - Thea
Meat/crackers/cheese - Reese
Sweet Treat - Arden
Plates/drinks/napkins - Elliotte
This week we will be doing some more summative writing for the Celebration of Learning.
In math we will be continuing to practice our numbers to 70, working through counting by 10's and exploring the relationships between these numbers.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this busy week!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
